Qingdao Kehai Biochemical Co. Ltd., a high-new technology company in Qingdao, is a subsidiary fully owned by Qingdao Langyatai (Group) Co.,Ltd. In 1998 by cooperating with Shandong Food Fermentation Institute, it set up the itaconic acid project with an annual output of 1000tons, and in 1999, construction was accomplished and product began to be exported to foreign countries. Owing to wide uses in chemical field, itaconic acid has gained enough support from the government and was listed as“national new product”. In 2002, this project gained the second award on national technology progress. In view of rapid business development, in 2000 the second stage project was started with an annual output of 4000tons and in 2001 construction completed. With scale expanded, considerable profits have been achieved.

Ltd. has firstly in China established complete production line based on the GMP standard and utilized automatic control.
